Pediatric Care in Kensington & Pikesville, Maryland

Welcome to Xpress Pediatrics

At Xpress Pediatrics, we do one thing, and we do it well: care for kids. Our practice is dedicated exclusively to pediatric patients from newborns through age 21, which means every member of our team, every piece of equipment in our facilities, and every process we've built has been designed with children in mind.

We offer both urgent care and primary care services at our Kensington and Pikesville locations, giving families a trusted place to turn for everything from a sick visit on a Sunday evening to routine well-child check-ups and chronic illness management. Whether your child needs a rapid strep test, a sports physical, or ongoing support for a condition like ADHD or asthma, our team is here.

Convenience is a core part of our mission. We're open 7 days a week with extended hours, and we welcome both walk-ins and scheduled appointments. We also offer telehealth visits for situations that don't require an in-person exam, so families can access our care from wherever they are. We accept most major insurance plans, and our team is always happy to help you navigate your coverage.

We also proudly partner with schools throughout the area to provide on-site vaccination programs and school-based telehealth services, because we believe that supporting children's health means showing up wherever kids are.

Whatever brings your family through our doors, we're glad you're here. Request an appointment online or walk in to either of our locations today.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Xpress Pediatrics different from other urgent care practices?

Xpress Pediatrics is an urgent care center that provides care exclusively to children from the ages of newborn to 21 years. Xpress Pediatrics always has on-site health care providers who are trained and experienced in pediatric medicine.

After all, children aren’t just small adults. Their health issues are different, their examinations require a separate set of skills, and their laboratory or X-ray results require a different interpretation. Traditional urgent care centers are generally staffed by non-pediatric providers, which is what truly sets Xpress Pediatrics apart.

What ages does Xpress Pediatrics see?

We see patients from newborns through age 21. Whether you're bringing in a brand-new baby for their first check-up or a young adult who needs urgent care, our team is trained and equipped to provide the right level of care for every age and stage.

Does Xpress Pediatrics accept walk-ins?

Yes! Walk-ins are always welcome at both of our locations. If you prefer to plan ahead, online scheduling is available as well.

Is there always a pediatrician on site?

Yes. Xpress Pediatrics always has a pediatric provider on site, and a board-certified pediatrician is available for staff supervision and consultation at all times. Our team includes experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, all of whom are trained in pediatric care.

How do I request my child's medical records?

You can request medical records by visiting either of our locations in person with a valid photo ID or by calling our front desk. Our team will walk you through the process and make sure you receive what you need.

Do I need to make Xpress Pediatrics my child's primary care provider to use urgent care services?

Not at all. Our urgent care services are available to all families, regardless of who your child's primary care provider is. Many of the families we see have an established pediatrician they see for routine care and come to us when something urgent comes up. We're happy to share visit records with your child's existing provider to keep their care coordinated.
